Aqualand: the biggest water park of Gran Canaria

The Aqualand in Maspalomas is the biggest water park of Gran Canaria and so often the most desired attraction to visit for many children and their families.  The main attractions of Aqualand are the numerous water slides and the wave pool. The Aqualand Maspalomas is opened daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

Attractions of the water park Aqualand

The 90.000 square meters ground of the Aqualand Waterpark Gran Canaria is located in the northern eastern edge of Maspalomas in the Barranco de la Negra. Main attractions are the numerous, partially breathtaking water slides and an impressive wave pool. Pools for toddlers and smaller children, such as deeper pools for older children, adolescent and adults offer a special experience for each member of a family whether swimmers or non-swimmers. There are very spectacular slides which can only be entered with a minimum height of 120 cm or 140 cm for security reasons. So first check your kids height, before they dream about a spectacular ride and finally do not qualify for some of the attractions, disgusting is than unevitable. Thats also the reason why the entry fees are calculated by height and not by age. But also for the youngest there are many attractions in a very comprehensible mini-water park. An additional, but maybe questionable attraction is the option to swim with a seal lion and take a foto with this companion in his own pool, but this is bound to a hefty extra charge.

Review of Aqualand Maspalomas Water Park:

Particularly for children and teenagers the Aqualand water park is a paradise and therefore one of the most popular destinations, also for native children. Parents who are not so enthusiastic for action on water slides, can relax in lounger zones (partially with small extra charges) or eat in a small snack bar inside of the park. So a trip to the Aqualand Maspalomas very sure makes your children happy, but a 4-member family will spend arround a minimum of 100 € in gate-money and some snacks, drinks and extra fees.

If this is over your planned budget, there is a cheaper alternative between Puerto Rico and Mogan: the water park "Lagos de Taurito" is not that big, but it provides also some spectacular water slides and is in contrast to Aqualand driven with sea water. In high season the entrance is about 14 € for adults and only 5 € for children from 5 to 12 years.
