Overview: Two Lines, Two Directions

At Gran Canaria Airport, two Global bus lines for the south leave from the same stop, Aeropuerto Sur Expres, right outside the terminal.

• Line 66 runs to Maspalomas, with stops in San Agustín and Playa del Inglés — the right choice for most holiday resorts in the south.
• Line 91 goes the other way, bypassing Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas, and continues straight on to Arguineguín, Puerto Rico, Amadores and Puerto de Mogán.

Both lines start from the same stop in front of the terminal, so it's worth knowing beforehand which direction your hotel is in.

Line 66: Airport to Maspalomas Timetable

Line 66 runs once an hour — not every 30 minutes, as you might expect. The fare is €4.05, paid in cash or by contactless card to the driver.

The last bus leaves the airport at 20:30, and the last bus leaves Maspalomas at 19:30. The journey to the Faro de Maspalomas takes around 40–50 minutes, depending on traffic in Playa del Inglés.

Taxi Ranks: Only Two Fixed Locations

If your hotel isn't within walking distance, there are only two official taxi ranks along the Line 66 route: at Estación Parque Tropical in Playa del Inglés (outside the Hotel Parque Tropical) and at the Faro de Maspalomas. Anywhere else along the route, you'll need to call a taxi by app or phone.

Continuing to Arguineguín, Puerto Rico or Mogán: Line 91

If you're not staying in Maspalomas or Playa del Inglés but heading further along the south-west coast, don't take Line 66 — it only goes as far as the Faro de Maspalomas. Instead, take Line 91, which leaves from the same stop at the airport (Aeropuerto Sur Expres) and follows the motorway to Arguineguín, Sunwing, Patalavaca, Puerto Rico, Amadores, Tauro, Taurito and Puerto de Mogán — without the detour through Playa del Inglés or Maspalomas.

This line stops very frequently along the way (lots of small stops), which takes extra time, but it also means many resorts in this zone are directly connected.
