Overview

Las Palmas is one of the busiest cruise ports in the Canary Islands. Ships from lines such as MSC Cruises, P&O Cruises, Marella Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Cunard dock at Muelle Santa Catalina, right in the centre of town.

Las Palmas 24 Transfers takes you from the cruise terminal straight to Gran Canaria Airport or to your hotel in the south of the island. You book online, with no deposit and no card details. You simply pay the driver a fixed price once you arrive.

How the Transfer Works

  1. Send your request. Give us your ship name, arrival time and the number of passengers. No deposit needed.
  2. Get your confirmation by email. Reply with the names of all passengers and you will receive a binding confirmation with the price and contact numbers.
  3. Arrival at the port. Your driver waits with a name sign right at the baggage claim of the cruise terminal, under the covered walkway at Muelle Santa Catalina. You do not need to leave the terminal area to find your driver.
  4. Access to the port. The cruise port is behind a security checkpoint. Only cruise passengers and port staff may enter, so private cars need clearance to drive in. This can cause a short delay at the gate. If your onward flight leaves soon after you disembark, we recommend building in a small time buffer.
  5. Straight to your destination. No shared rides, no detours — direct to the airport or your hotel in the south. For short trips within Las Palmas itself (old town, Santa Catalina), a taxi rank right at the terminal is the better option.
  6. Pay the driver. The confirmed fixed price is paid directly to the driver at your destination — no hidden extras.

Choosing Your Vehicle: Taxi, Car or Minibus

  • Up to 3 people can choose between "Vario" and "Saloon Car". With "Vario", we choose the vehicle for you: up to 3 passengers travel at no extra cost in a Mercedes E-Class saloon, a people carrier or a minibus, subject to availability, otherwise by taxi.
  • Up to 5 people: the Minibus 5 tariff gets you a Mercedes V-Class or a similarly sized minibus. If you have a lot of luggage, choose the next size up (Minibus 7) instead.
  • Up to 7 people: larger families and groups, or smaller groups with extra luggage, travel in a Mercedes Sprinter minibus or an equivalent vehicle.
  • Larger groups of up to 13 people: a custom fixed price applies, also bookable for day trips.
  • Our saloon cars are genuine Mercedes vehicles (E-Class and V-Class) — not show cars or stretch limousines.

Getting There / Transport Connections

Muelle Santa Catalina lies close to the city centre of Las Palmas, about 27 km from Gran Canaria Airport (LPA). A private transfer takes around 20–25 minutes. Public bus Line 60 (Global/Guaguas Global) also connects the port area with the airport, but the journey takes roughly 30–40 minutes and involves a walk to the nearest stop.

For journeys to the south of Gran Canaria — Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas or Meloneras — a private transfer is direct and non-stop, without changing buses or waiting at a rank.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the transfer really just for us?

Yes. Every Las Palmas 24 transfer is a private, individual ride. Only you and your registered fellow passengers travel in the vehicle — no shared shuttle, no picking up other passengers along the way.

Where will I be picked up at the cruise port, and how do I recognise my driver?

Your driver waits right at the baggage claim of the cruise terminal, under the covered walkway at Muelle Santa Catalina. They hold a sign with your name on it.

Will I be taken right up to my ship?

On arrival, our driver takes you directly to the cruise terminal at Muelle Santa Catalina — from there, you walk to your ship, just like every other passenger. On departure, you are picked up directly at the terminal as soon as you have left the ship.

Do you also offer short transfers to the old town or Santa Catalina?

No. Our pre-booked vehicles are usually based near the airport, so they are not cost-effective for short trips within Las Palmas. For journeys to the old town or Santa Catalina, we recommend the taxi rank right at the terminal. Our service is best suited to medium and long distances: port–airport or port–hotels in the south.

How much luggage is included in the price?

One large suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person are included at no extra cost. If you have a lot of luggage or bulky items, the Minibus tariff is your best option. We do not charge luggage surcharges.

Which vehicle is right for us?

Up to 3 people with normal luggage: choose "Vario" — the best value option. If you want to be guaranteed a saloon car, choose "Saloon Car". From 4 people, or with extra luggage, "Minibus 5" is right; up to 7 people, "Minibus 7"; for larger groups, "Minibus 10" or "Minibus 13". You'll find the full price list in the table above.

Do I need to pay in advance or leave a deposit?

No. You do not need to provide a credit card or a deposit. The confirmed fixed price is paid directly to the driver.

How can I change, rebook or cancel my transfer?

Simply get in touch by email, WhatsApp, SMS or phone. There are no cancellation fees, provided you let us know in good time. For confirmed no-shows without notice, we reserve the right to charge a €10 handling fee.

Are there any night, holiday or luggage surcharges?

No. The zone price applies around the clock, seven days a week, including public holidays. A different price only applies if the booking itself changes — for example, a different destination zone or extra passengers who were not registered.

Why is this transfer service often cheaper than a regular taxi?

The transfer service is based on pre-booked journeys rather than unpaid waiting time. This saving is passed on as a flat zone price — which is also why no deposit is required.

Do you also run transfers to and from Gran Canaria Airport?

Yes, with their own zone prices. You'll find all the details on our Gran Canaria Airport Transfer page.

Can I book a shore excursion or stop along the way?

Yes. Unlike large booking platforms, you are not tied to a fixed point-to-point route. Just note any stops — a sight or a viewpoint, for example — in the comments field when you book, and we'll send you an individual fixed-price offer.
