We have still a considerable collection of MTB- and Road-tracks, but you can also check pages like wikiloc.com or cicloide.com, where many locals have posted thousands of routes.

Biking in and around Las Palmas
bike tours in the city and outside
The cycle network in Las Palmas is not even that close than in the middle of europe but the are some considerable bicycle routes. Firstly recommendable is the more than 10 kilometers long bikeway (1) along the Avenida Maritima. Here you can start at the northernmost point near the Castillo de La Luz on the Isleta and go on with only a few interruptions and seperated from the traffic, to the beach Las Lajas. Meanwhile you pass the the cruise and the freight port, the Parque Santa Catalina, the marina, the old town of Las Palmas, the fishers district San Cristobal and finally the beach Las Lajas at the citys entrance. You can leave the bikeway at anytime and anywhere. Also well developed for bikes is the partially parallel running Paseo de Chil (2) which is located higher with enablesm to get to the upper districts of the city an into the mountains. Worth seeing on this way are especially the Parque Doramas above the Hotel Santa Catalina and the upper sections of the old town districts Triana and Vegueta.
Who wants to ride off road is not neglected. The entry to the Barranco de Guiniguada right from the old town is a very welcome entry to the stony trails of Gran Canaria. For starting tours into the mountains the track from the auditorium to Los Giles (3) or the track on the ridges via the old town district San Jose (4) are recommendable.
We recommend in general also the portals Wikiloc.com (also as APP) and Cicloide.com where we ourselves collect routes & favorites and also numerous local people share interessting GPS-Routes.
