Historic "Archivo Historico Provincial"
The regional history archives on Santa Ana Square
Formerly home of the well-known historian Jose de Viera y Clavijo the building was turned into the historic archives of Las Palmas (= Archivo Historico Provincial) in 1987. The archives contain data of the Canary Islands’ history of the last four centuries. From morning till noon the archives are opened for visitors, taking photographs is prohibited, however.
