When trying to describe the topography of Gran Canaria with a few words we usually just state the following: flat is only the runway of the airport and the Port of Las Palmas area ….
This means even for shorter road tours or mountainbike trips arround the city of Las Palmas the need of climbing at least 200 meters up. Most cyclists are very able, but If you cannot or will not, you are either restricted to city sightseeing tours between port area and oldtown or better you check our bike shuttle and guided tour offers or plan your own tour based on our recommended routes.
Bike Shuttle: we lift you up until the highest point of the island, the Pico de Las Nieves (1949m) from there you have a couple of trail-options to downhill in nearly all directions. Visit our GPX collection and tour descriptions, to select a MTB-tour adapted to your technical and skills. If uncertain, you are always welcome to ask us personally about any recommendated tours adapted to your skills and endurance.
Guided MTB-Excursions: the listed tours are just examples of possible tours. We can offer many variations and additional routing on request. Routing can be adapted to the skills of participants, so that no one will be overextended in his skills. Before booking any tour, please give us an idea of your skills and endurance power between one and 5 stars. Please note: if you're used to ride a mountainbike only on asphalt, you should not indicate more than one star for skills. The pricing mainly depends on the required category of bikes and additionally if a second shuttle fromn the end point to Las Palmas is needed. Ask for discounts for groups and families ≥ 4 participants.
